Abstract Submission

Please submit your abstract by 1 June (new dead-line) in order to have it printed in the Congress Program.

Please, carefully read the following instructions before entering the abstract submission system (Colibrì Submission System) and starting the abstract submission procedure.

1) PREPARE YOUR ABSTRACT FILE

Type the abstract and save it on your computer as a rtf file (this is mandatory in order to reproduce any special character present in the text). If your application software does not allow the rtf format, a pdf file can be also accepted.

Please prepare the abstract file on the basis of the following example (further instructions in the example itself).

Title of the abstract for the ESP Congress

First Author 1 , Second Author 2 , Third Author 1 , Fourth Author 3

1 Institution of the First and Third Author; 2 Institution of the Second Author; 3 Institution of the Fourth Author

Type your abstract using the Times New Roman Font, size 12. Type the title of the abstract in bold. Use superscript numerals to indicate authors' affiliations. Underline the name of the presenting author. Type the institution line(s) in italic. The number of characters in the abstract body (including spaces) should not exceed 2000. Figures are not allowed in the abstract.

2) CREATE AN ACCOUNT FOR THE ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SYSTEM

Once entered the Colibrì Submission System, you will be in the Authentication page. If you do not have an account created previously, you must sign up to create a new one. Otherwise you can enter your username and password and proceed to step 3 (see below).

In the sign up form you will be asked to enter name, e-mail address, institution, postal address, phone and fax number and country.

Please be sure to fill all the fields marked with asterisk. Otherwise the system will return an error message and will ask to complete the form.

Please be aware that all the account data (including password) can be modified later except the e-mail address, which must be unique and active because it will be the username and the contact way from the Colibrì Submission System.

You will receive an email containing the confirmation of the account creation and your password to enter the Colibrì Submission System.

3) SUBMIT YOUR ABSTRACT

Once entered the Colibrì Submission System, enter the submission page.

In the Abstract Submission form, you will be asked to enter the following pieces of information (all mandatory):

1 - Title of the abstract

2 - Name, e-mail address and institution of each author (clicking on Import your institution , the institution you indicated when creating your account will be copied).

3 - Indication of the contact author and the presenting author (of course, they may coincide). If the contact author is different from the person who created the account, an additional new account will be automatically created and an e-mail message will be sent with the new username and password.

4 - Indication of the Symposium which the presentation fits in. If your abstract does not fit in any of the Symposium topics, please choose “Other” and specify. (Plenary lecturers should choose “Other” and specify “Plenary lecture”).

5 - Indication of the submission type (invited lecture, oral presentation or poster presentation).

At this stage you can upload your abstract file.

The registered person and the contact author will receive an e-mail message containing the confirmation of the successful abstract submission.

Step 3 can be reiterated to submit other abstracts.

Now when entering in the Colibrì Submission System you will find the list of all the abstract submitted under your username.

Each abstract can be changed only by uploading a new abstract file (no online editing of the old file).

For any problem with these instructions, please contact Francesco Ghetti (francesco.ghetti@pi.ibf.cnr.it ).

To submit an abstract please go to the colibri system.
